This Environmental Sustainability Policy formalises our commitment to supporting the principles of environmental sustainability and recognises that a sustainable environment is central to our lives and our work.

Half Rhino believes that a successful future for our business and clients we serve depends on the sustainability of the environment, communities, and economies in which we operate.

We are committed to minimising the impact of our operations on the environment and to demonstrating leadership by integrating environmental considerations into all our business practices, the clients and the partners we work with.

The aim of our Environmental Sustainability Policy is to:

·       conduct all our business in a legal, ethical and responsible manner

·       implement environmental actions within the company

·       monitor the environmental actions and improvements internally

·       communicate environmental initiatives

·       commit to continual improvement

·       provide the framework for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and targets

Scope

This policy and associated procedures apply to all directors, staff, partners and contractors working for the company.

Commitment from Half Rhino

Half Rhino respects our relationship with the natural environment and ecosystems. We acknowledge the adverse impacts that human activity can impose and take actions to prevent degradation of those natural systems.

Half Rhino commits to the following principles and practices:

Setting the standard

·       monitoring and managing our environmental impact and working towards targets set to reduce adverse impacts

·       ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and other requirements

·       assessing the environmental impact of operations and supply chains

·       events take a heavy toll on resources and the environment, commit to promoting more responsible consumption, relieving the strain on infrastructure and utilities

·       address environmental problems as well as broader approaches relating to company culture, outreach and consumer behaviour

·       expecting similar environmental standards from all suppliers and contractors

·       encouraging suppliers to meet high standards of environmental performance

·       assisting customers to use products and services in an environmentally sensitive way

Communication

·       communicating this policy to all employees, contractors and other stakeholders, as well as making this policy available to the general public

·       laying out the importance of environmental issues in the company

·       communicating environmental aims and objectives to employees and external stakeholders.

·       raising awareness, encouraging participation and training staff in environmental matters

·       liaising with the local community

Reduce, reuse, recycle

·       reducing the consumption of natural resources in daily operations, including water, paper and energy

·       reducing pollution, emissions and waste

·       minimising pollution by taking steps to limit carbon emissions resulting from vehicle and air travel

·       maximising the recycling of resources

·       disposing of waste appropriately, including e-waste at designated e-waste centres

·       committing to the principles of preventing pollution to the environment and continual improvement.

Responsibility and Review

This Environmental Sustainability Policy is the responsibility of the Management of Half Rhino. This policy was lasted updated September 2022 and will be reviewed September 2023.

·       Reporting on the company’s environmental performance in both internal and external communications, where relevant.

·       Reviewing this policy annually and measuring targets and performance as part of that review.
